This course is 40 hours and attendance is mandatory for all hours.
Participants are provided with content and hands-on experience, which prepares the student to sit for the state licensing exam. No credits are offered for this program, but students will receive a certificate of completion.
State written exam will be proctored by one of two state approved testing sites. Medication Aides are also required to apply to be listed on the state registry. Please visit Nebraska DHHS for more information and associated fees with the state registry and exam.
Individuals previously listed on the Nebraska Medication Aide Registry who have lapsed or become inactive are eligible to reactivate their registration by successfully completing the Medication Aide competency assessment.

Preparation:
Individuals recertifying need to review section 5 on Medication Aide reapplication and renewal notice forms. Please see forms below. In addition, other options include studying materials from their previous MA class, reviewing and practicing required skills, and taking a refresher course. Students must bring a state issued photo ID in order to participate in testing.
